“ This place is FANTASTIC! The decor, the lighting, the smell... This is a PUB! We had the sausage rolls... I haven't had one in over a decade and they were spot on! We also had the chips (fries) and curry sauce. The chips looked amazing however they were heavily over seasoned so we only ate a few (better for the waistline anyway!). We ended strong with the Whiskey Bread Pudding and OMG! Perfection! We will definitely be back to try the fish and chips and the Guinness beef stew! Our waitress was prompt and chatty. This was an overall great experience! ”

The fish ‘n chips (homemade chips that were some of the best I’ve had) were outstanding, as were the Hamburger and the Full Irish Breakfast. “ Tried the Cottage Pub for the first time today. I've heard many great things about this spot but never been because I don't live nearby and I'm hardly ever in the area but I will definitely start to make the trip just to come back! I love good Irish pubs and we don't have enough of them in the San Antonio area. The atmosphere was perfect! The Bangers were so delicious! I enjoyed the sweet sirarcha cauliflower appetizer; perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The side mac and cheese and the side caeser salad are HUGE! Much bigger than I would have imagined. My boyfriend got the steak sandwich. The flavors were delicious but some pieces were incredibly tough and some were nice and tender. Hit or miss on that one. The potato skins were good but I think they needed more bacon and chives, maybe a touch more salt too. I saw someone get the reuban egg rolls, cottage pie and the bread pudding; I was drooling! Even though some things weren't perfect I'm giving the food a 4, only because of the 2 things that seemed to be a fluke, but overall this spot is a 5. I'm definitely coming back for the Irish breakfast, cottage pie, Guinness stew and pretty much everything else! ”

Lately, it’s felt more like shredded beef scraps rather than the hearty chunks I’d expect. I’d love to see a return to those bigger, more satisfying pieces! That said, everything else is spot on. The fish and chips? To die for! Perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside—just like you’d find in Ireland. And beyond the food, the service is top-notch. The staff is always attentive and welcoming, making sure you have everything you need without hovering. “ This place is so eclectic in the best way possible. When you walk in you get the whole feel of being in an authentic Irish pub. Every detail down to the bathroom screams Irish. They have stained glass windows, and wood as far as the eye can see. They even play Irish music. The bar has more options than you can imagine when it comes to beer and liquor.. Highlighting Irish choices the most. The service was impeccable. We didn't wait for anything. They sat us immediately and our server was so attentive. We got fish and chips(which was highly recommended) and the Reuben sandwich. The fish and chips was amazing, exactly as expected. The hand cut fries topped it off perfectly. The Ruben was tasty but the bread was a bit soggy. Besides the bread everything else was awesome, especially the house made corned beef. We will definitely be back when we are on this side of town. ”

“ Too good to miss with surprisingly reasonable pricing. Not returning for St Paddy's Day this place has been booked for months and bar will be standing room only. Party of 4 ( 2 x beef stew, fish and chips, chicken pot pie) only been to Ireland once but seemed spot on to me. Decor is dead on from pubs I visited in Ireland. Adding this to my rotation. ”
